Grace Note Music is a welcoming and nurturing music school whose primary goal as a music educator is to foster a love and joy of music in all of their students. The best part of learning happens when the student sits alone to practice. Musical dreams become reality when our students use only the tools and skills that our teachers teach them, coupled with a little imagination.

Learn to Play a Variety of Musical Genres

As students gain musical literacy through music lessons, they will be able to perform a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, pop, classical, baroque, impressionist, show tunes, cartoon themes for children, sonatas, folk, accompaniments with vocalists and instrumentalists, and virtually anything else in print.

Music Lessons in a Variety of Instruments

Music lessons are available for all ages and skill levels – from beginner to advanced. (Minimum age is approximately 4-5 years old.) The only requirement to get started is a desire to learn and an instrument at home for you to practice between lessons. For piano lessons, a keyboard instead of a piano can be used and must have at least 61 piano-sized keys. If you do not have an instrument yet, your instructor can help you decide what will best suit your needs.

Our instructors use a variety of methods during their lessons, tailored to fit the needs of each individual student. During lessons, they cover the different aspects of music including theory, ear training, technique, and memorization. While it may seem overwhelming at first, our instructors are able to do all of this with a fun and friendly attitude, putting the students at ease and allowing them to enjoy each and every lesson. Our biggest priority is to make sure our students enjoy performing and listening to music as much as we do. Grace Note Music truly believes that music is for everyone.

  • What days and times are lessons available?

    Lesson times are Monday through Friday by appointment.  The studio is closed on Saturday and Sunday. 

  • What kinds of songs can I learn to play with music lessons?

  • What is the age range for your lessons?

  • How much practice is necessary?

    This depends on the level and age of the student, and how fast they want to progress.  Our instructors explain to all students how to practice efficiently to get the most done in less time.  Typically students are expected to practice 30 minutes per day but they can break it into two 15 minute sections at different times of the day.  Longer lessons for more advanced students require 45 minutes or 1 hour per day if that is their chosen length of the weekly lesson.
